2013 Tempranillo Tasting Notes
The colour is outstandingly bright and youthful, a very good sign. There is an immediate hit of dark bitter cherry on the nose that is typical of the variety. The palate follows with more of the appealing cherry “bitter/sweet” characters and there is some oak showing in the mocha and dark chocolate finish that fills it out. At the end there are savoury hints of shitake mushroom and more sweet earthy notes. A very good wine with great length.
